Nominate A Candidate
The Vistage experience is much more than just being in a boardroom with a group of peers having a round table discussion and participating in a think tank. When a member attends a Vistage private board meeting they walk into a room and are met by their peers.
The environment is safe and confidential. Members know this is the place they go to openly discuss issues that they may not want to discuss with their direct reports, board of directors, or partners.
The experience is about being with friends who understand what you are going through. They are there to help you make better decisions, hold you accountable, push for growth and change. The peer group realizes that everyone in a leadership role will feel isolated. It's within the Vistage private boardroom that the walls of isolation break down.
Ask any board member why they feel Vistage is a key component to their success and a priority in their life and they will tell you because it has enhanced their personal life and enhanced their effectiveness as a leader.
You may know of someone who does not have a forum where they can go and talk about the stress of the day, the tough decision they need to make, the big risk that seems to be knocking at their door. Give them the opportunity to investigate Vistage.
If you take the time to enter their name as a candidate for nomination, Cathy Fitzhenry the Chairman, will reach out to them. As Chairman, Fitzhenry does not get paid to appoint members. This allows her to approach a candidate with a willingness to simply inform and to invite them to investigate the Vistage experience. Any candidate that wants to pursue the opportunity can choose to go through a selection interview.
If you choose to nominate a candidate we will not disclose your name unless the candidate gets invited to join and is appointed. (However you may feel free to tell them that you nominated them.)
